Various things are required for flying kites and having fun. Before flying a kite you need to knot the kite known a kanny tying (bridle tying) for more details goto kanny tying.Then  you require a Charki (Spool) on which you will have plain thread roll over at the bottom and finally you need a Manjha (cutting line) rolled over the plain thread.

Why you need a plain thread or a manjha (cutting line) over the plain thread?

Manjha (Cutting line) is sharp and thin you may have a cut to your fingers, while balancing your kite in air or will making your kite fight with other kite. So you need a plain thread for balancing and fighting in air. you will start flying kites with the manjha and after some distance when the kite is in air you will balance the kite through plain thread.
